Supportive Care After Intensive Care Surgery
Though our initial focus is on providing the highest level of care and expertise to optimize short term recovery, recovery is not complete until our patients have returned to optimal function. From the first day in the ICU, our team is also working to understand the patient as a unique individual and to begin the steps necessary to optimize comfort and facilitate reentry into society. This includes integrating the family in the process of care and rehabilitation.
